About the Union


International Union of Economic Cooperation of Industrialists and Businessmen, official shortening "SEV" (hereinafter the Union) is the successor of the International Trade Integration Economic Union, created in 2004 on the initiative of Yevgeny Primakov, with the participation of the Commission for International relations of the presidential Council under the Mayor and Government of Moscow, representatives of the diplomatic corps, multinational companies, free economic zones and international non-governmental organizations. Its founder and subsequently Honorary President was E.M. Primakov. The Union was actively engaged in the development of international trade and economic relations. The main activity of the Union's interaction with foreign countries is in order to promote Russian business on the basis of established economic, friendly and trusting relationships with the Presidents and members of governments, leaders of big business of the countries of Central and Latin America.
The mission of the Union is

  • to provide the necessary secure base for activities in the field of international trade and investment;
  • to help Russian companies and businessmen with the need to expand their activities abroad, and foreign companies wishing to enter the Russian market;
  • to develop concepts, projects and predictions of evolution of the Russian Federation and its individual regions, industries, science and education;
  • to prepare proposals and initiatives on priority areas of scientific-industrial policy of Russia and development of mechanisms of the state-to-private partnership;
  • to support the development of the innovation directions of scientific and scientific-production activities of advanced technology, the Russian scientific and educational institutions, businesses and technoparks;
  • to help attracting foreign investment to promote Russian high-tech products to world markets;
  • to organize informational events, congresses, conferences with the aim of attracting foreign investments to the Russian economy and promoting Russian innovation, competitive products and technologies on the international market.

A priority activity of the Union is development of trade and economic communications with the business community of the CIS countries, Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region, Asia and Oceania, as well as the creation of joint enterprises and promotion of Russian products.

For these purposes, the Union offers its members a wide range of services to support the business, creates the conditions for business communication, helps and participates in meetings and activities of members of Governments, ministries and departments and representatives of the business community. For example, the Union organized business meetings with such persons as:
 
  • Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez (2005);
  • Vice-President, Minister of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Panama, Samuel Lewis Novaro (2006);
  • The President of the General Assembly Rodolfo, Nabua (2009);
  • The Minister of foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic Morales, Transeco (2009);
  • The President of Ecuador, Rafael Vicente Correa (2010);
  • Vice President of Peru Luis Reyes (2010);
  • The Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of El Salvador Sigrid Morales (2014);
  • Vice-President of the Dominican Republic Margarita de Fernández (2015).

Today the Union represents and protects the business interests of Russian and foreign companies, operating in different sectors of the economics.
